General Meetings

  • Monthly General Meeting alternate between evening and daytime to accommodate the Club’s diverse membership. Six meetings are daytime meetings and six meetings are evening meetings.

Special Interest Groups

  • American House and Clara Bridge Activity Group

    • Several times a year our FAMC families visit the residents of these Farmington area nursing homes.  It is a wonderful experience for both the residents and the children, with lots of smiling faces.  Our activities are set up to include all age groups. Previously, we have had a Trick or Treating event in October and a Valentine event in February. The facility coordinators are always open to new ideas/suggestions.

  • Christian Book Club

    • The Christian Book Club is a small, but growing group! We gather once a month to discuss the chosen book that pertains to different Christian aspects of a mom's life. Marriage, family, friendship, motherhood, or just struggles in a woman's life, are examples of what we read/discuss. Each month a member chooses and leads discussion, while we meet on a rotation basis at our homes. Time and date is determined on availability of active book members.

  • Diner’s Club

    • Focus on good food and a good mood as you dine with your favorite mom friends. Let Dad or your sitter decide what the little ones will eat for the night.

  • Explore Your World

    • Join us as we embark on a journey to learn about our world with hands on experiences that are most appropriate for 2 - 6 year olds.  We focus on taking activities one step further and giving the children (and us) a chance to learn about how our world works.  Our activities include visits to experience maple syrup making, Real Life Farm, guided nature walks, Selfridge Air Force Base plane museum, a pond study, the humane society, a TV station tour, a fire station tour, and much more.  Usually a knowledgeable person from the place we are visiting will teach us about what they do.  For example when we visited the humane society we learned about how to take care of pets and when we visited the MSU Tollgate Education Center (near 12 Oaks Mall) we learned how maple syrup is made.  We try to keep the events nearby, inexpensive, and age appropriate.  We schedule an activity about once a month during the school year and more frequently during the summer.

  • Healthy Moms

    • With a mom's busy schedule, it is almost impossible to get in one more thing. Yet, without a personal fitness and health program we will not be good moms. So, we are here to help! The Healthy Moms' group is for all members at all fitness levels. We meet once per month for some light exercise (usually a walk in the park or the mall) and some great conversation. Children are always welcome, so come prepared with a stroller, front pack, or bike, if appropriate.

  • Helping Hands

    • This is when the members of the Farmington Area Mom’s Club really shine. With the birth of a child, the adoption of a child, the sickness of a mom or family member, or the loss of someone dear, the Helping Hands Coordinator arranges for 10 meals to be delivered to the family’s home.

  • Mom’s Night Out

    • This group plans interesting activities that a mom might enjoy on her night “off” from home: wine tasting, facials, bowling, etc.

  • More Than a Book Club

  • Scrapbooking Club

  • Speaker Series

This very fun play group involves arts/crafts, as well as playtime, at
member's homes or local parks. We try to meet 2-3 times a month, and usually have a gathering of at least 5 moms. The play group day, time, and art/craft level vary, due to whatever accommodates a host best.
